Benchtop SamplE processing

Our compact benchtop sample processing package allows laboratory processing of field-collected samples. Sample run-time is less than one minute, the water reservoir requires less than five gallons, data are delivered immediately, and the entire package (except the imaging unit) fits within the reservoir for easy under-the-counter storage. Setup or breakdown time is less than ten minutes. The benchtop system also is ideally suited for classroom teaching applications, allowing students to spend less time picking samples and more time classifying, enumerating, and analyzing.

 
 

Vessel-based Sampling

The Aquatic Imager is waterproof (but not submersible), enabling deployment on crewed or uncrewed surface vessels. This is an ideal arrangement for near-surface transect sampling, for example to map the fine-scale (sub-meter) distribution of zooplankton or microplastics. The time stamp for each image is seconds-scale, allowing integration and mapping aligned with ancillary data such as temperature, salinity, and discontinuities.
